About Karien
I love helping students feel confident when speaking. Learning the language and being confident in the language are two different things. Learning can be fun and exciting if done with a calming demeanor and a friendly face. I award small improvements as they lay the pillar for confidence! I have received distinctions in both Afrikaans and English through my school experience and aim to just make students feel understood and listened to while stepping up their brain power!

I am young and vibrant and strive to help, and not to discourage. Sessions will focus on basics (I use guidelines provided by eg.exams.com or from respected schools) and any areas that students may have problems with. I help students from grade 1 to grade 8. I am able to tutor for FAL as well as Home Language as my native language is Afrikaans. I graduated matric with distinctions in both Afrikaans HL and English FAL. I can help with creating study pages as well.
