I use easy methods when teaching kids in my home country such as asking them to recite the basic words, alphabets, or sentences at the beginning of every lesson, so as to enable them the ability to comprehend/assimilate the necessary things needed in knowing a language.
I teach kids who find it had to keep in memory things they've learnt, I teach kids age 7-14.
