I have 25 years of experience teaching English to people from all over the world.I've also taught English to kids helping them to like the subject and to overcome their problems with the language.

About the lesson

I’m originally from Spain and I’ve been a teacher of English and Spanish for the last 25 years .Originally from Spain, I grew up in London and was educated there, so I am in the unique position of having mastered a foreign language and fully aware of all the the challenges related to language learning. That is why I could be the right person to help you overcome your particular problems and quickly gain confidence in using the language.

This is my approach to help my students succeed:

- Demonstrate how students can practice when the tutor is not there, so that progress continues in-between sessions. Free audio stories are also provided to help the students better grasp the concept and practise at home. I can give you plenty of advice on how to improve your English by incorporating it in your everyday life and practise newly-learned concepts and skills until they become second nature.

- Tailor conversational practice to individual needs. It’s often up to my students to decide which topic to study. By doing so they get some valuable info about something they want to know and at the same time practise their English with more enthusiasm and pleasure. It’s mutually beneficial as I am constantly learning something new, too!
My lessons are designed as small language immersion programs that cover all aspects of conversation, reading, language learning tips, cultural insights and literature.
I use Storytelling - an amazing technique of language acquisition engaging all your senses and emotional intellect.

Depending on where you are right now, and where you want to be, I offer two programs:
Entry level lessons—easy conversations, basic structures, vocabulary building, the subtleties of English pronunciation for accent reduction. At this early stage my teaching is based on ‘shadow reading’ and ‘total physical response’. The goal is to form an instinctive and instant response in English and start talking accent-free from the very beginning.

Intermediate level lessons –advanced conversational practice and a more thorough comprehension of the language while incorporating a variety of teaching techniques, and authentic materials. I also “spice” my lessons with jokes and amusing stories.
