About Sean
I am only qualified in French to Leaving Certificate level but took up Italian and eventually concentrated on Spanish through reading famous texts. Initially I found French more difficult than these, but later found all I needed was a little more exposure to bring it to the same level (these languages are structurally very similar and reading in one covers a lot of ground for the other). Also, time spent in Spain developed my listening and speaking ability, which I find helps a lot with other languages, for example the Irish used where I work.
