About Theja
As a Lecturer in the BEng Software Engineering undergraduate program at Informatics Institute of Technology that offers accredited degree programs by University of Westminster, United Kingdom. I have had the opportunity to teach students from all academic levels, Specifically I have taught Human Computer Interaction and User Experience module (5COSC025W.1) for level 5 (2nd year) students. This module fully focused on understanding users and their cognitive aspects, apply theory, design principles, practices and tools for the design, prototyping and evaluation of a user interface, evaluating the usability and the user experience , finally plan and conduct /user research to inform development of systems. Under this module students have the opportunity to conduct research, develop low fidelity prototype and converted it to high fidelity prototype using a prototyping tools like Axure or Figma.
Further I have taught advanced client side development technologies, like HTML5, CSS3 , jQuery ,jQuery mobile and Bootstrap where students could do front end development by applying HCI principles.
I have contributed to the Mobile User Experience (6MM CS001) module which is level 6 (final Year).Under this module we have focused more on mobile web development concepts, how to apply them while designing and teaching relevant technologies to develop web based mobile application following UX and UI principles.
And also I work as the module leader for Human Computer Interaction and User Experience module and Mobile User Experience module. As the module leader , my main responsibilities are, communicating with students, updating module content , maintaining module pages in Blackboard, communicating with University of Westminster module leaders, assessment making and moderation and managing the module team.
When it comes to guiding and supervising students in computer science related research projects, I would like to highlight my experience in the student consultancy from their research proposal to final thesis. Conducting one-on-one meetings, giving feedback and continuous guidance and support. Some of my mentees have done publications in reputed conferences along with my guidance.I have supervised final year students research projects from the year of 2019 onwards.
