About Hesam

Hey, I'm Hesam — a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and college professor who's spent the last 7+ years teaching Python and programming at four Ontario colleges, including Seneca Polytechnic, George Brown, and Lambton. I hold a Master's in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), an Adult Learning Certificate, and I've published in IEEE journals on smart-grid optimization. But the part I love most? Watching somebody go from "I don't get this" to "wait, this is actually kind of fun."
Here's what I bring that most Python tutors don't: I teach this stuff for a living, to hundreds of students every semester — beginners, career changers, international students, adult learners going back to school. I know exactly where people get stuck, and I've built a toolbox of explanations, analogies, and project ideas that cut through the confusion fast. Whether you're staring at your first, wrestling with loops and functions, trying to pass a college Python course, getting started with pandas and data analysis, or prepping for a coding interview, I can meet you where you are and get you moving.
Python is my focus here because it's the single most useful first language you can learn — and the one I use daily for engineering computation, data analysis, and automation. I still remember exactly what it felt like to sit where you are — staring at code that won't run, or a concept that just won't click. That frustration is what drives how I teach.
I hold a Master's in Electrical & Computer Engineering and a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license, and I've spent 8+ years teaching programming at the college level. I teach Python, Java, C#, and programming fundamentals — from complete beginners to students preparing for exams or technical interviews.
In the age of AI, copying an answer is easy. What employers actually pay for is computational thinking — the ability to break down problems, reason through logic, and build solutions from scratch. That's exactly what I help you develop.
