About Minako
I am from Japan and moved to Australia for tertiary studies. Although I am not currently a practicing teacher, I have completed MTeach in Secondary and my teaching areas are Humanities and Japanese (specializing in TESOL). I understand how difficult learning a new language can be as I went through the same. So I am here to make your Japanese learning as enjoyable as possible!

I aim to provide fully tailored lessons. Every lesson will look different depending on the student. During our first lesson, I will listen to your goals and concerns. From there, we can decide on how the future lessons will look. If you want to focus on speaking... we can have conversations in Japanese and I can correct your pronunciations, grammar, etc. If you have a textbook that you want to follow through... I can create lessons based on the textbooks you are using. If you fully want to immerse in Japanese, I can use Japanese only during our lessons. If you prefer being taught in English, I can use English. English usage can be adjusted depending on your preference.
