About João Maria
I like to work trying to understand the specific need of each person looking for classes, I am interested in encouraging creativity above all and I believe in the interpretation of texts, in reading and in the practice of writing as strategies for professional and personal development. I have experience in private classes or in small groups, in the disciplines: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Literature and Writing. I also did proofreading and translation of texts.

I'm João Maria, 28 years old. Poet, social educator, playwright, student of letters and member of the collective Academia TransLiterária. In May 2018, in partnership with Projeto Bolha by artist Sérgio Salomão, I published for the first time; 'Generalidades ou Passarinho Loque Esse' is the first volume of the trilogy and is also available in audio book, with the aim of promoting accessibility. In February 2019 I was invited to become a monthly columnist for the Guaja platform, and thus created the Shared Literature project. I also work with an art-education perspective, as I believe that work in reading and writing can and should be added to artistic expressions in general.
