About Isabel
My name is Isabel and I am currently studying for my A-level examinations. One of the three subjects that I chose to continue to this advanced level with is English language and literature and I have been predicted to achieve an A in this subject. For my GCSEs I studied Romeo & Juliet, A Christmas Carol, An Inspector Calls, and a wide range of poetry however I am completely prepared to read new literature in order to work with any student. I am an avid reader of any genre and love to analyse my way through new content. Thank you for considering me as your personal tutor!

I tailor my lessons depending on what the student wants to work on the most. For example, a Year 11 student approaching their GCSEs may be struggling to understand Romeo & Juliet. For this student I would first try to understand what about the text is difficult for them personally- the Shakespearean language, the themes, or potentially the plot. From there, we can work together through the issues faced and develop a plan on how to conquer this particular text in the most helpful, quickest way. All skills learnt here will also be easily translatable into other literature as well as the language side of English.
