I am currently reading English at Durham University (ranked 3rd in the United Kingdom) after achieving A*A*A* in my A levels in English Literature, English Language, and Art & Design (for which I achieved 99%). I offer tutoring in both GCSE and A level: English Literature, English Language, and Art, as well as English as a Foreign Language, for which I hold a TEFL qualification.

I am able to teach all secondary school year groups and adapt lessons to the individual needs of each student. My approach to tutoring is built on my own experience of achieving top grades. I focus on memorisation techniques and exam strategies that help students approach their subjects with clarity and confidence. In English, I place a strong emphasis on essay writing, analysis, and understanding how to meet the demands of the mark schemes, while also working to boost each student’s confidence in their written expression. I have a strong knowledge of the core GCSE modules and set texts in English Literature, and I use this to guide students in sharpening their critical and analytical skills so they can consistently perform at the highest level. For Art, I achieved 99% in my A level coursework, and I can provide detailed guidance on structuring, planning, and developing projects tailored to each student’s ideas. I understand the importance of balancing creativity with the formal requirements of the exam board, and I help students build coursework portfolios that are both ambitious and well-presented. Lessons typically last between 40 minutes to an hour, and I always aim to make them engaging, supportive, and results-driven. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students secure top grades, but also to give them the tools, confidence, and mindset to carry their skills forward into future studies.
