About Rae

I’ve always genuinely loved Politics — it’s what first sparked my interest in understanding how governments, institutions and society work, and ultimately what led me towards studying Law at Cambridge.

During A-Level, I developed a structured system that helped me turn that interest into an A*. It involved much more than memorising content: I built flexible essay plans, worked through past-paper questions, practised applying arguments to different debates and developed a way of revising that worked for me even during the stress of exam season.

Now, I want to share that experience with other students. My aim isn’t to give you my exact system, but to help you build one that works for you so that you can feel more confident, organised and in control of Politics, and ultimately get the grades you’re capable of.

About the lesson

Lessons that turn knowledge into marks

My lessons are designed to do more than simply teach you the Politics specification. As an A* Politics student and current Cambridge Law student, I know how frustrating it can be to understand the content but still struggle to translate that knowledge into top-mark essays.

My approach is personalised, interactive and exam-focused. We’ll identify exactly where you’re losing marks, then work on the skills that will make the biggest difference — from building stronger arguments and using contemporary evidence to developing evaluation, tackling difficult question wording and reaching convincing judgements.

I won’t just give you more notes to memorise. We’ll practise thinking like an examiner, adapting arguments to unfamiliar questions and turning what you know into marks through discussion, retrieval, essay planning, timed practice and targeted feedback.

Every student starts from a different place, so your lessons will be shaped around your current level, your target grade and your individual weaknesses.

My goal is simple: to help you become confident enough that when you see an unfamiliar Politics question, you know exactly how to attack it.
