About Vritika

Hi, I’m Vritika, a Psychology tutor currently completing an MSc in Clinical Psychology at University College London (UCL). I have over three years of academic training in psychology and mental health, alongside hands-on experience in education and mental health support roles.

I’m passionate about helping students feel confident, capable, and supported in their learning—especially in a subject like psychology, which can feel content-heavy and overwhelming at times. My approach is calm, structured, and student-centred, with a strong focus on understanding, exam technique, and building long-term confidence rather than rote memorisation.

Alongside my academic training, I’ve worked in supportive and educational settings, including facilitating workshops on sensitive topics and providing emotional support to individuals in distress. These experiences have strengthened my communication skills and my ability to explain complex psychological concepts clearly, compassionately, and accessibly.

I pride myself on being reliable, organised, and professional, and I tailor every lesson to the individual student’s goals—whether that’s improving exam performance, strengthening essay-writing skills, or gaining confidence with core psychological theories.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring
My teaching approach is structured, supportive, and exam-focused, while remaining flexible to each student’s needs and learning style. I aim to make psychology feel clear, manageable, and engaging, especially for students who may feel overwhelmed by content-heavy topics.

Teaching techniques & methodology
I break down complex theories and studies into simple, digestible explanations. Strong focus on exam technique (AO1 knowledge, AO2 application, AO3 evaluation). Use exam-style questions, model answers, and guided essay planning. Encourage active learning through discussion, questioning, and retrieval practice. Regularly revisit weak areas and adapt lessons based on progress and confidence. I prioritise understanding why concepts matter, not just memorising content, so students can apply their knowledge confidently in exams.

60-minute online lessons
Can be adapted for shorter revision-focused sessions or longer essay-based work if needed

Currently completing an MSc in Clinical Psychology at University College London (UCL)
Experience teaching and facilitating learning in structured and supportive environments
