I am currently studying my A-Levels and hoping to attain a Primary Education degree and qualified teacher status from university in the coming years. I have experience working in both KS1 and KS2 and am confident and competent in all areas of primary school teaching as well as secondary/GCSE level.

I believe that the most effective way of teaching is to utilise and engage a child’s prior knowledge (zone of actual development). Therefore, I will decipher what a child already understands and use this knowledge to make new topics simpler and more understandable for children, resulting in easier and more effective teaching. I aim to make lessons as engaging and interactive as possible to maximise children’s contribution, meaning I am more able to develop an understanding of what they are confident with and what they struggle with.
