About Lucy
I have always loved History inside and outside the classroom. When given the opportunity to help nurture other young students to learn and apply their knowledge of the subject, I will stop at nothing to help them achieve. After completing my History GCSE I have also now taken on HIstory A-level and am enjoying every moment. All students deserve to learn at their own pace in environments they feel most comfortable at. That is why I would never pressure the student and always give them time to adapt to the lessons as long as they also have the want to learn as I do to teach them.

I prefer to teach in creative bursts. I steer away from conventional writing when learning History and prefer to teach and learn with mind maps pictures, videos and engaging activities.
I also appreciate the success of active recall. This is when students absorb knowledge in lesson and recall in the next to maintain a flow of historical knowledge.
I also believe Practice questions are the best way to tackle exam conditions and I will be there to help them achieve a stand out piece of work.
Lessons are about 1 hour long and can increase dependent on student preference.
I have an A* in GCSE Edexcel history and have helped mentor my younger siblings in their GCSE’s. My lessons are for students at GCSE level in the Edexcel exam board, learning about Queen Elizabeth, crime and punishment, Rise of Nazi powers and the Cold War.
