About Ari

I am a graduate from KCL where I completed a Liberal Arts degree, and my greatest passion is writing. I have a special interest in Comparative Literature. Some of my essay themes included the rise of the contemporary global novel, the interaction between written spaces and memory, Surrealist literature and modern poetry. I am an avid reader and have engaged with texts from around the world. I am also a writer myself and I have published a novel. As a Liberal Arts graduate, I have a University level education in History and Philosophy as well as literature, and I can therefore offer students the potential for a variety of perspectives on a novel.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is flexible, depending on what the students want. In all cases I aim to make the lessons fun, and to encourage students to think for themselves.

I can tailor the class to examining a particular text with the student in the curriculum, that he or she is struggling with and place the text within its historical context and the possible social issues it engages with. Although I am not trained in teaching for a specific exam, I teach essay writing skills.

Most importantly of all I try and inspire the student's curiosity by bringing the text to life. The student's own interest, once develop, will propel them to succeed academically.
