About Erikka
I am a writer and educator! I've taught in the classroom for four years, teaching everything from AP US History to Women's History to Public Speaking to AP Literature. I have a Master of Science in Secondary Education (High School!) History and Social Sciences, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing - Fiction. I've studied under some amazing authors, to include Katherine Towler, Tracy O'Neil, Robin Wasserman, and Adam Wilson. I'm currently working on my first novel, a Korean-American mother-daughter story that spans decades and continents, fueled by long buried secrets and questions about motherhood.

I love interactive, student-centered teaching. I believe educators should be flexible with their students--to adapt the lessons to meet the needs of the students--where they are today and where they want to be in the future. Lessons should be engaging, thought-provoking, and student-driven.
My lessons will formatted like workshops. Students will learn all about the writing process, to include feedback, revision, and rewriting. We'll have fun with world-building, discovering our characters, and developing exciting plots that will keep our interests!
