I help young students become strong readers by focusing on phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. These are all skills that we will work on in fun and engaging ways. I believe play and games are one of the most effective ways for young students to learn and progress. My lessons oftentimes incorporate many play-based aspects, yet are academically rigorous. I work with students in grades K-5.
