About Dave
Hello! I'm Dave. Over the first third of my life, I've developed a deep passion for the history of the United States. From the Revolution through the election of our current President, I've studied it all and have developed a strong ability to explain it in clear and engaging ways.

I strongly believe that learning history is important and can be so much more interesting than simply memorizing names and dates. Sure, those are important for your next exam, but they come easier when you understand the bigger picture.
For example, the Civil War's impact on this country makes much more sense when you understand what lead up to it, and just as important, how it still impacts us to this day. When you start making these connections, that's when history really gets interesting. The names and dates will then come easier because you'll want to learn them instead of just cramming them the night before the exam.
That's where I come in. No, I don't have a degree and am not a certified teacher. But I love the subject and am passionate about making it more engaging and accessible for everyone.
During the first lesson, we'll discuss what you hope to gain from our time together, and how I can best assist you in reaching that goal. We'll also discuss the class or classes you are currently taking so we can hit the ground running!
