About Anesha

Hi! I’m a reading interventionist and experienced tutor who loves helping students become confident readers. I specialize in working with struggling readers and breaking things down in a way that finally clicks.

My sessions are structured, supportive, and actually enjoyable—I focus on building both skills and confidence so students don’t just improve, they feel proud of their progress.

About the lesson

I take a structured, individualized, and confidence-based approach to tutoring. My goal is not just to help students improve their reading skills, but to help them feel capable, motivated, and successful as learners.

Teaching Method & Techniques:
I use a multi-sensory, explicit instruction approach to reading, meaning students see, say, hear, and interact with the material in different ways. I break skills down into small, manageable steps and provide consistent repetition and practice to build mastery. My instruction focuses on key areas such as phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, and comprehension. I also adjust my teaching style based on each student’s needs, pace, and learning style.

Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical session is structured but engaging:

Quick review of previously learned skills
Introduction of a new skill or concept
Guided practice with support and feedback
Independent practice to build confidence
A brief wrap-up to reinforce progress and celebrate wins

I also regularly monitor progress and adjust lessons to ensure students are continuously improving.

What Sets Me Apart:
What makes me different is my background in reading intervention and working with struggling readers across a wide range of ages and abilities. I specialize in identifying the root of a student’s reading difficulties and targeting those areas directly. I also prioritize building a strong, positive relationship with each student, because confidence and trust are key to real progress. My sessions are structured, but also warm, patient, and encouraging.
