About Giulia

Hi, my name is Giulia. I was born and raised in Italy, but I have been living in Ireland for the past four years. Back in Italy, I had a Classical Studies background, which enhanced my understanding and my passion for both ancient and modern languages and the culture behind them. During my years in Italy, I tutored multiple primary and secondary school students. Once in Ireland, I taught Italian to primary school students in an International Language Camp, which gave me the chance to engage with teaching Italian as a second language. I have also tutored multiple Junior and Leaving Certificate students, other than adults.
Additionally, I hold a CELTA certificate for English as a foreign language teaching. I have extensive experience in teaching English to all levels, to individuals and classrooms, online and in person, children and adults.
I have also learnt French with a native speaker private teacher. I have got an H1 in my Leaving Certificate and I pursued my study of the language through in University.
Finally, studying Linguistics at Trinity College and working in the ELT field gave me the chance to gain a better understanding on the functioning of Language, which is core to my teaching methodology.

About the lesson

My lessons tend to be very student-tailored. I like taking some time at the beginning of our first lesson to get to know each other and assess the needs the student. I usually do not used prepared set of notes. Instead, I try to build up individual notes for each student during our lessons. This way, the notes are going to contain whatever we discussed during the lesson and any extra tip for the individual needs of the student. I then share the notes with the student at the end of each class, usually in a digital copy that we can both access and edit. Any age group and level is welcome!
