About Matthew
My name is Matthew Park, and I believe that my past experience in both the French language and in tutoring would prepare me for this position. I studied French throughout high school, and continue to practice my French and read books in French to this day. I have taught French to other people, and also have a lot of experience in tutoring. The past several years, I had jobs that involved teaching math to elementary and middle schoolers, but I have also tutored older students as well, and enjoy working with a wide variety of people.

I believe that it’s important to vary our lessons in order to keep them engaging. I would start by giving my students vocabulary lists on various topics, or simply having a conversation with them in their target language. This way, I can figure out their level. I would then give vocabulary or grammar lessons, and then move on to something more fun. I might play a video or movie in my students’ target language, and then ask them what they understood. Activities like this, and more, are all part of the learning process.
