About Dearbhla
Hi! I’m a fully qualified primary school teacher with nearly three years of classroom experience. I’m originally from Galway and currently work as a substitute teacher, so I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of ages and abilities.
I’ve always loved working with children and seeing those “lightbulb moments” when something finally clicks. That’s what motivates me most, helping students grow in confidence and realize they are capable of more than they think.
I want tutoring sessions to feel supportive and positive, where students feel comfortable asking questions and building skills at their own pace.

As a qualified primary school teacher, I take a structured but supportive approach to tutoring. I begin by identifying each child’s current level and setting realistic, achievable goals.
My lessons are carefully planned and aligned with the Irish primary curriculum, while still being engaging and interactive. I use a mix of practical activities, discussion, and targeted practice to strengthen understanding and retention.
I regularly provide feedback so both parents and students can clearly see the progress being made. My goal is steady improvement alongside growing confidence.
