About Leo

Hi! I’m Leo — a tutor with a background in Earth Science and History, and professional experience supporting students across secondary and tertiary education. I studied a Bachelor of Science and Arts at Monash University, majoring in Earth Science and working closely with topics including geology, plate tectonics, climate systems, and environmental change. I’ve also worked in education support and coordination roles, where I’ve helped students understand scientific concepts, structure reports, and build their confidence in the classroom and in the field. I enjoy making Earth Science accessible and science communication, whether it’s exam revision, or supporting a uni student with field data or assignment planning. I take a calm, flexible, and strengths-based approach to tutoring — tailored to the student’s goals and learning style. About the lesson

I offer tutoring in Earth Sciences for high school and early university students, drawing on my Bachelor of Science (Earth Science & History) from Monash University and my experience supporting student learning both academically and in the field.

My approach is structured, practical, and student-led. I help students:
• Understand key Earth systems, geologic processes, and environmental concepts
• Break down complex scientific texts and assignments
• Develop confidence in analysis, fieldwork interpretation, and report writing

I use scaffolds like graphic organisers, past exam breakdowns, and practical, real world examples to make content engaging and accessible. Lessons typically run for 45–60 minutes, and are tailored to the student’s current topic or learning goals.

With a background in education support and literacy intervention, I’m skilled at helping students who love science and need a little more help, and enjoy working with neurodiverse learners or those needing extra structure. I’m here to support you at your pace.
