About Eilidh
My experience, which help me as a teacher:
- I have a 1st-class master's degree in Philosophy and English Literature from the University of Edinburgh. I specialised in Environmental Philosophy and Post-Colonial Literature.
- I am currently in my final year of training as an Actor at RADA.
- I studied Cultural Arts at Amsterdam University for a year.
- I spent time in France as a teaching assistant across 2 schools, assisting lessons and giving tutorials in small groups.
- I worked as a Youth Arts Worker in a drama group for ages 5-18, running drama sessions.
- I volunteered as an ESL tutor.
Is English your second language? Great! I have experience working across language barriers in schools abroad, and as an ESL tutor.

I will work with you to understand and feel passionate about your subject. Whether preparing for an exam, or improving your skills and confidence, I will help you work towards your goal.
Learning can and should be fun! If you are not engaged, you are not learning at the deep level which counts. I curate bespoke lessons for you. Using your curriculum criteria and marking scheme, we will explore the source text together rigorously, helping you develop independent tools for analysis and expression.
Sometimes the context of a classroom at school isn't where we discover our way of learning. I believe in a 1-1 approach to help open up subjects which can be the most challenging, and the most rewarding.
I typically teach age ranges 11-18.
