About Carrie

I graduated first in my class with an English Literature and Theatre degree. I was a tutor in university and have been working with students in Inverness for more than a year. I create a supportive, responsive environment to help students prepare for school exams, better understand the mechanics of language, and broaden their experience of literature to improve their vocabularies and critical thinking.

About the lesson

English is about connecting to the work and understanding the elements of language. I therefore focus on strengthening analysis techniques while encouraging students to explore and understand their own opinions of the texts they are reading. I have personal and practical experience with a range of additional support needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and others. I can offer a free trial 30-min session for someone who is unsure if tutoring will suit them.
