About Mark
I am an artist and writer with a particular emphasis on storytelling in the visual medium. I have a BA (Hons) degree in Linguistics from SOAS - University of London and an MA in Screenwriting from the London Film School. I also have a PGCE in TEFL/TESL from Greenwich University. I have over 35 years of teaching experience at all levels from primary to undergraduate and postgraduate university students. I am flexible in approach and open to new ideas to suit individual needs.

I believe learning should be an enjoyable and stimulating experience for the teacher and student. I love storytelling especially through media like movies, comics, graphic novels and illustrated books. I am both an artist and writer so I tend to think visually, but words (I have a background in linguistics) are as much my tools as the art materials I use to draw and paint pictures. I teach through discussion and practical exercises to foster a greater understanding of the art and craft of storytelling.
