About Wendell
I've been teaching ESL to a varied contingent of international students since 2001. Obtained an MA TESOL from UCF in Orlando, Florida in 2001. Since then My teaching experiences and students have helped me to become a better teacher. Have been gaining experience as a substitute teacher here on Oahu since 2019 and the experience has been very different from my ESL teaching and being a private tutor largely for both US and international students who needed me to help them in completing written assignments of various sorts. I've grown and learned a great deal from this.

Try to use both Communicative and Natural Approaches with the clearest goals and best learning materials we can muster at any given time. If a student has clear goals and can learn and practice what they will need in any given situation, so much the better.

Details
If I have to go out to meet the student then I'm forced to ask for $50.00 US as well as $6.00 travel expenses. Selecting and doing the online webcam lessons is more economical as well as less stressful and potentially hazardous. Those are $35.00 per hour without the $6.00 travel and preparation fee.
