About Danielle
I am 23 years old from the North West province of South Africa. I grew up there before moving to Spain to Au Pair, and then to Canada to study. I have just finished my Bachelor of Arts at UBC in Political Science and History. At UBC, I took Arts One, an interdisciplinary course aimed at teaching students how to think and write through intensive literature analysis, weekly essays, and weekly peer review sessions. Through my classes in Political Science and History, I honed these skills. I am especially skilled at writing literature essays, argumentative essays, and academic research papers.
Additionally, I am experienced in public speaking. I have achieved a grade 8 LAMDA Acting Certificate, a grade 8 Trinity Speech and Drama Certificate, a summer intensive certificate at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, and won multiple awards at the Pretoria Eisteddfod in both drama and public speaking.
I am a patient teacher who uses fun, interactive methods that are age appropriate to motivate students. Children learn through laughing and playing, and I like to incorporate this into my lessons with younger students. I am also adaptable and will cater my lessons to your educational needs as well as personal interests.
And more personally, I am a lover of both the indoors and the outdoors. I love getting out and being active, but can equally enjoy staying in and reading with my cat in my lap. I love yoga, drinking seasonal lattes, and baking. :)

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & History from UBC Vancouver. I am currently taking French immersion classes at Université Laval in Quebec and applying law schools for fall 2024.
I have tutored primary school English Second Language, Maths, Geography, History, and high school level History.
Lessons are very individualized and dependent on your level, age, goals, and interests. They can span from playing language games together and watching comedy videos, to serious grammar exercises and literature analysis. The more information you give me about your needs, the better I can prepare an appropriate lesson for you.
