About Xena
With 11 years of experience as a violin tutor, I have successfully guided around 300 students, including high school students, college learners, and adults, helping them build both technical skills and confidence. My teaching approach is student-focused and flexible, as I understand that every learner has different needs and goals.
I focus on important techniques such as posture, bowing, rhythm, intonation, and tone production, ensuring that students develop a strong foundation. I break down lessons into simple steps so students can learn without feeling overwhelmed. I also provide guidance on effective practice methods that help students improve consistently.
One of my proud achievements is helping students perform confidently and enjoy playing music. My goal is to make learning violin a simple, enjoyable, and rewarding experience.

My violin teaching philosophy focuses on clear communication, flexibility, and real-world application of skills. I carefully observe each student’s abilities and adapt lessons to match their pace, goals, and learning style.
I emphasize posture, bowing technique, fingering, tone, intonation, phrasing, and musical expression while encouraging creativity and interpretation. Lessons include real-life examples such as performing favorite pieces, practicing with accompaniment, and understanding music in everyday life to make learning practical and relatable.
I also teach supporting subjects such as music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic keyboard skills to strengthen overall musicianship. My aim is to create a motivating, structured, and enjoyable environment where students progress confidently and enjoy their musical journey.
