About Susie
I have always loved to things: Animals and writing! Before I had children, I worked as a business and lifestyle writer at our city’s newspaper. Later, as a teacher in a homeschool co-operative learning group. I taught the writing process to students ages 8 and up. (One of my students went on to be a professional writer and another became an English teacher.) I continued to teach English and writing there for nearly 10 years. During the pandemic, I began to offer online classes about rabbits and writing. Over 1,000 students have taken my classes.

I’m a person who is passionate about learning! I’ve homeschooled my three kids (two are college graduates and one is finishing high school) with the idea that learning is for life not just the classroom or school day. My mantra is: Stay curious! No matter what you’re learning, there’s always an interesting angle or tidbit out there to know about it. (I’m always learning new things!) Two of my favorite subjects are rabbits (I’ve been raising them for nearly 45 years) and English (ALL aspects!). So, if you want to learn with someone who is passionate about her subject matter, I’m the teacher/tutor for you! I’m excited to meet you!
