About Tomas
I have been a professional educator for the past 35 years. I have taught at the K-12 as well as the college level. I am an AP reader and a member of the Organization of American Historians. I enjoy working with students at of levels of learning and from diverse backgrounds.

My optimal learning environment includes active learning through civil and academic discourse. I begin my lessons with bell work, then introduce lesson objectives and critical questions. I use a 10:2 strategy to allow for questions and clarifications. I use cooperative learning and break out rooms. I end y lesson with an edit ticket. My lessons are geared towards topic review, exam preparation, and learning for fun.
