About Shawn

I have been giving lessons for approximately 1.5 years, and have worked with between 10 and 20 students of various levels. Some tutoring was brief, such as for a particular test or exam. Other work was more long-term, to improve grades over a longer period of time. This gave us more time to delve into the subjects and to focus on deeper issues.

About the lesson

I have taken advanced history courses in college, and have particular strengths in US History and Church History. I have a keen interest in the American Civil War, in all its glory. I believe that I am very well-read in many areas of history, and am passionate about the subject. I have earned two Masters' degrees, one in Religious Studies.

I offer a free initial consultation, to go over what the student needs and what I do. My rates are $30/hour per student, although if I am tutoring two students at the same time, I ask for $45/hour. Packages of lessons are negotiable.
