About Grace
Hello! I'm a Chinese language teacher from Beijing, the capital of China. As a native Beijinger, I speak standard Mandarin and authentic Beijing dialect, and I currently live in the UK, which gives me a time zone advantage. My teaching style focuses on personalised learning, and I'm eager to provide tailored study plans for students from different cultural backgrounds, ages, and learning goals. I help them quickly master Chinese through comprehensive training in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I use interactive and practical teaching methods to spark students' interest. Not only do we learn the language, but we also dive into rich cultural experiences, designing engaging lessons that incorporate traditional Chinese festivals, customs, and history. I have a year of offline teaching experience and have also taught my own children Chinese from scratch. Growing up in a Mandarin-speaking environment in the capital, especially during my school years, has given me insights into students' learning focuses and teachers' instructional priorities. After graduating from university, I worked in human resource management, interacting with various types of people, which has greatly enhanced my communication and understanding skills, benefiting our interaction. If you're an adult learner, we can not only study Chinese but also discuss any work-related challenges you may face. I'm more than happy to share my HR experiences with you.
