About Aiden

Aiden Tang is currently earning his Master of Music at the Manhattan School of Music studying under Professor David Fung. He recently earned his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from UCLA while studying under Professor David Kaplan with a scholarship. In recent years, he has worked with Julian Martin, Matti Raekallio, Anton Nel, and Hie-Yon Choi, all of which are leaders in the field.

At UCLA, he was part of the Gluck Fellowship where he was invited to perform concerts across various venues throughout Los Angeles. Along with these experiences, he had the honor of opening UCLA's Philharmonia All-Stars Concert with Rachmaninoff’s 2nd Piano Concerto and presented a solo recital at UCLA's 2024 Chancellor Recital centered around Scriabin's Fifth Piano Sonata.

Aiden has attended Bowdoin International Music Festival and Decoda Chamber Music Festival.

About the lesson

As a wise teacher once told me, "the most crucial thing to understand as you begin lesson is to adopt the mentality of the self-starter." I believe that while I guide the student in the right direction, it is ultimately the student who reaps the reward of their own hard work.

Students should come to lessons with a learning mindset. My goal is to guide students toward steady, meaningful progress while inspiring them to explore their curiosity for music.
