About Margariet

I hold my BMus degree from the University of Stellenbosch where I specialized in piano performance and music education. I recently finished my Master's in Music Therapy (cum laude), so I look forward to creating a space where individuals can foster and nurture their musical abilities and learn new skills and techniques in their instrument. Each individual will be met with respect and lessons will be conducted in a professional, yet fun and uplifting way. I have a passion for music and feel very privileged to be able to do it as a career.

About the lesson

I am flexible to teach in person, or online. I am based in Brackenfell, but could also travel to Stellenbosch. Tuition is offered in Afrikaans and English. My teaching approach is student-centered as I use various methods until the concept is fully grasped. I teach students of all ages and backgrounds, from pre-grade 1 to university level. My preferred medium is piano and theory, but I also teach singing and flute. My studio will be a place of learning and nurturing musical knowledge and skills. I adapt my pace according to the student's level of understanding and the effort they put in. I look forward to meeting my new students.
