About James
I am an electrical engineer with many years of hands-on industry experience, combined with multiple years of teaching computer science and STEM at an international school. Having worked in the engineering field, I don't just teach code from a textbook. I understand how these concepts apply to the real world. My time in the international school system has allowed me to work with diverse student populations (often ESL), helping them bridge the gap between complex theoretical science and practical, creative problem-solving.

I walk students through the actual AP Computer Science Principles curriculum step-by-step, focusing on what it takes to get the best score possible. We will break down tough topics like algorithms and data, and work closely on the Create Performance Task so you know exactly how to grab every point on the rubric.
Outside of the AP prep, I am a game developer who makes and publishes my own games. I have helped a lot of students build their own video games from scratch, which is a great way to actually use code instead of just memorizing it.
