About Jack
My name is Jack, I am a geoscience graduate from TCD, specialising in hydrology and volcanology and I am currently a master's degree student at the University of Freiburg. Geoscience covers a very broad area including palaeontology, geography, geology, oceanography, human geography and more.
My goal is to provide a strong understanding of the basic principles and theories by drawing from my experiences both in the classroom and in the field. I want to try and help inspire others to be more curious about the ground beneath our feet and how our planet works.

I prefer an active approach to learning and adjust my approach to what each student needs, focussing on what is needed. I emphasise nuilding a strong understanding of the base material as well as developing an understanding of how to understand exam questions and the type of questions that may occur in order to develop exam strategies if needed. I prefer students to build their own understanding of the material rather than memorising answers as it allows students to be more flexible in their approach to the subject.
A free introductory lesson is available to best assess each students' individual needs. I am familiar with geography for Junior and Leaving certificate.
