About Bince
Mr. Bince graduated Master of Arts in Music degree in piano performance with full scholarships from Tunghai University at Taichung.
He also played in masterclasses by Andrzej Dutkiewicz, Eugene Pridonoff, Ching-Yun Hu, Meng-Chieh Liu, and Steven Lin. In 2017 and 2019, he competed and earned first place in the National Student Music Competition (for degree students, group A) in Taichung.
He played five full piano recitals and some collaborative recitals during his studies. He also performed several legendary pieces such as Beethoven’s 5th Concerto “Emperor”, Liszt’s Sonata in B Minor, Chopin’s 1st Concerto, Rachmaninoff’s 3rd Concerto, etc. He also joined several performances at the National Taichung Theatre, Taipei Theatre, Qingshui Seaport Art Centre etc.
He picked the gorgeous Rachmaninoff’s 3rd Concerto for his master’s thesis for graduation, titled:
'An Analysis and Interpretation of the Piano Concerto No. 3, Op. 30 by Sergei Rachmaninoff'.

About the lesson

In music, I would suggest on listening to a huge variety of music. Then, I would start with using the genre or type of music that the students liked the most for the lessons. After that, I would add some 'different' and 'cool' pieces into their repertoire, making sure that they have the ability to play a variety of pieces.
In piano technique, is crucial to have stable and flexible technique in the fingers, wrist, arms, shoulders etc. I would definitely rebuild students' inefficient technique and make sure they play with ease and less tension. Especially the hard sections with: fast scales and arpeggios, octaves, double-notes, chords, leaps, etc.
About exams, I usually don't force students to take any exams unless they need it as an achievement to improve. Anyways, tell me your requirements and I will have a plan that suites you the most.
Anyways, practice is the only key to success. :)
