About Roxanne

My name is Roxanne, a North Carolina-based English tutor, yoga instructor, and herbal practitioner. I’m passionate about languages, and I help students worldwide learn French in a fun way. After three years teaching online, I found textbooks dull and impractical, so I built a Real-Life French Program with movies, shows, books, and lively conversation. I currently have structured learning paths from Beginner through Upper Intermediate. An Advanced program is coming soon.

About the lesson

Tired of boring textbooks and still struggling with real French? In my fun, engaging classes—filled with movie clips, music, and lively conversation—you will get tons of practical French you can use right away. You’re in the right place! Authentic materials sharpen listening, real-world vocabulary, contextual grammar, and pronunciation all at once. Passive movie watching gives you only about 10% of the learning. But if you pause, translate subtitles, question each grammar point, mimic the actors, and retell the scene, one clip teaches you listening, speaking, reading, grammar, and memory all at once. French expressions are hard to translate, yet natives use them constantly. We’ll learn each in context through short dialogues and repeat them until they feel natural. Practice makes perfect! Book a lesson and let’s see if we’re a good fit. I can’t wait to meet you. Bonne journée et à bientôt! : )
