In my tutoring lessons for grades K-4, I employ an effective "I do, we do, you do" technique to build student confidence and ensure a solid understanding of the material. Each session begins with a clear explanation of the topic we'll be exploring, whether it's a math concept or a scientific principle. Together, we engage in exercises that allow us to apply the knowledge collaboratively. This interactive approach helps students grasp the material with guidance and support.
After we've practiced as a team, students are encouraged to work independently on similar tasks. This "you do" phase allows them to demonstrate their understanding and reinforce their learning. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable experimenting, asking questions, and gaining confidence in their abilities. By the end of each lesson, they leave with a stronger grasp of the subject and a sense of accomplishment.
