About Valentina

I attended classical high school, with mathematical and linguistic enhancement. I graduated in Philosophy, International Studies and Economics at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. I am currently attending the master degree in Management of Human Resources at the University of Milan. I have several passions, including cinema, photography, music and eco-sustainability issues. I am an associate of WIBF, Women in International Business and Finance, an Italian association of students, focused on female empowerment.

About the lesson

During my studies I was taught that organization is fundamental: mental order means practical order. Therefore, first of all, during a lesson, I ask the topic that the student wants or needs to study. As a second step I explain the topic, with the help of books and / or diagrams. Then I look for exercises and / or ask for any homework to be completed, in order to understand if the student can actually apply what he has learned in the theory, and / or if there are some unclear passages. A further step that I might decide to take is to enhance the listening and learning skills of the language through practical examples, either by listening to a song or watching a film / cartoon / TV series. This last step gives the lesson a less "scholastic" approach and helps the student to practically see / listen what he/she previously memorized in front of a book.

Ho conosciuto Valentina perché è amica della mia insegnante di ripetizioni di Latino.
Valentina è una ragazza a modo, molto simpatica e gentile (ha dovuto sopportare me e il mio compagno, quindi quasi santa ahahah).
Le avevo chiesto di fare ripetizioni a me e un mio compagno di classe durante agosto per prepararci al meglio all'esame di riparazione del debito. Nonostante non fossimo due grandissimi "inglesi" ci ha preparati e l'esame è andato per il meglio (io ho preso pure 7 in pagella).
Consiglierei Valentina perché è stata gentile e molto paziente, ha ripetuto e organizzato gli argomenti a me più difficili e mi ha dato la preparazione giusta per le mie lacune.
