About Andy

Hello! My name is Andy! I am a native speaker of both Spanish and English based in Toronto, Canada. If you want to master Spanish without the frustration of traditional textbook methods, you are in the right place.

I work with students of all ages and proficiency levels. My background is not just in speaking the language; I hold university degrees in Communications and Linguistics, plus a Bachelor's in Design. This unique combination means I understand exactly how language functions and how to communicate it visually and effectively.

When I am not helping students achieve fluency, I am usually diving into new technologies, playing video games, traveling the world, or doing what I love most: learning new languages myself. I know the struggles of language learning firsthand, and I know exactly how to guide you past them.

Our meeting today was exceptionally successful. We became acquainted and shared information about our pasts. Gabriel demonstrated a great deal of enthusiasm and explained the origin of their interest with the Spanish language, in addition to discussing Gabriel's passion for illustration and art.
We learned the 'Alfabeto' and how to accurately pronounce the letters in Spanish, taking into consideration the distinctions between Spanish, English and other languages. Additionally, we reviewed introductory phrases used in Spanish to greet and answer greetings.
Gabriel demonstrated an impressive level of comprehension when working through the letters and words, understanding their meaning and history.
The upcoming meetings will be devoted to learning more about conversational Spanish, including reading comprehension and verbal discussion of essential Spanish words and phrases.
