About Ash
With 28 years of global teaching experience and a 37-year career in the dance industry, I am dedicated to helping young dancers unlock their full potential. I have had the privilege of teaching acrobatics, ballet, and contemporary dance in 15 countries, working with students at every level to achieve both technical mastery and personal growth.
My teaching philosophy is built on recognising each student's unique strengths and talents. I believe in nurturing not only their skills in dance but also in instilling confidence, discipline, and a passion for the art form. By focusing on individualised instruction, I ensure that each lesson is a tailored experience designed to bring out the best in every student.
Whether your child is just beginning their dance journey or seeking to refine their skills for performances or competitions, I provide a supportive and dynamic environment that promotes progress, creativity, and joy in dance. My aim is to guide students to success not only in dance but in life, using dance as a powerful tool for building resilience, self-expression, and lifelong skills.

Techniques and Teaching Methodology: My teaching approach is centred around personalised guidance, where I assess each student’s natural abilities and areas for growth. I use a combination of technical drills, creative choreography, and progressive skill development to ensure students excel not just in dance but in overall confidence and discipline. I focus on building a solid foundation while challenging students to push their boundaries safely and effectively.
Typical Length of a Lesson: Lessons typically run for 30 - 60 minutes, providing a well-rounded session that includes warm-up, technique training, skill-building, and choreography.
Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor: With over 28 years of international teaching experience and a 37-year background in the dance industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge to every lesson. I have worked with students across 15 countries, helping them achieve both artistic and personal growth. My expertise includes acrobatics, ballet, contemporary dance, and more, with a proven track record of helping students reach their full potential.
Who Are Your Lessons For: My lessons are designed for all levels, from beginners to advanced students, and tailored for children aged 7+ who are passionate about dance. Whether your child is just starting out or looking to refine their skills for competitions, I provide guidance that suits their individual journey.
My Philosophy: My goal is to help your child be the best they can be by providing them with skills for success in both dance and life. I will identify their inherent talents and areas for development, guiding them based on their strengths to build confidence and a love for dance.
