About Pavithra

I am a strategic marketing student currently studying at Imperial Business School, London.

Although business studies and marketing is my career goal, Music has always been my moral compass and my passion. I started my journey with vocals at the age of 6 and never stopped since.

I next added the guitar knowledge to my bag on music. In the past few years I have began training in Violin and Mandolin along with the Indian bamboo flute.

Music has always been my first priority and my peaceful place. I have certifications for guitar from London college of music for 3 grades and for flute from Hindusthani music centre. Apart from this I have online certification for music editing and composition courses in addition to the band and solo instrumental competition certificates.

I have started this teaching journey to spread the wonderful, calming effect of the melody from the flute and hoping to meet more music enthusiasts and connoisseurs like me to create something magical.

About the lesson

Hello,

I am Pavithra and I would like to believe that I am here to make you fall in love with the Indian Bamboo flute as we explore its tunes and history together.

Teaching methods:
- History and making of the instrument
- Tonality and music type
- Theory of scales, beats and accompaniment
- Practicals and techniques
- Friendly tests to keep you motivated

I have more than 5+ years of experience with the flute and still continuing. I have a formal certification from the Hindusthani music board for the instrument along with many accolades from the competitions I have won.
It would be interesting to note that I was the music for an Indian rock band for 3 years, which has added to the versatility of the techniques and allows me to play a wide range of music styles on this instrument.

My lessons are for beginners and intermediates and anyone who is interested to enter and get absorbed in the world of music through the medium of this enchanting instrument.
