2. Learn the basic syntax of SQL queries.
3. Master the usage of the SELECT statement to retrieve data from tables.
4. Explore filtering data using the WHERE clause.
5. Practice sorting data using the ORDER BY clause.

Lesson Content:

1. Introduction to SQL:
- Explanation of SQL and its role in database management.
- Brief history and evolution of SQL.

2. SQL Syntax Basics:
- Structure of a SQL statement: SELECT, FROM, WHERE, ORDER BY.
- Explanation of keywords and their functions.

3. Retrieving Data with SELECT:
- Syntax of the SELECT statement.
- Retrieving all columns vs. specific columns.
- Examples of simple SELECT queries.

4. Filtering Data with WHERE:
- Introduction to the WHERE clause.
- Using comparison operators (e.g., =, , ) in WHERE clauses.
- Combining conditions with AND, OR, and NOT operators.

5. Sorting Data with ORDER BY:
- Purpose of the ORDER BY clause.
- Sorting data in ascending and descending order.
- Examples of ORDER BY in conjunction with SELECT statements.

Lesson Activities:

1. Hands-On Practice:
- Provide a sample database schema with tables and data.
- Ask students to write SQL queries to retrieve specific information from the database.

2. Interactive Quizzes:
- Create quizzes to test students' understanding of SQL syntax, SELECT statements, WHERE clauses, and ORDER BY clauses.

3. Real-World Applications:
- Discuss real-world scenarios where SQL is used, such as e-commerce websites, banking systems, and social media platforms.
- Encourage students to think about how SQL queries are utilized to solve practical problems.

Conclusion:
