About Sofia Acosta
Born and raised in Colombia, I bring an authentic and deep understanding of the Spanish language and culture to my teaching. Moving to the United States, I personally experienced the challenges of learning a new language, giving me unique insight into the journey you're embarking on. I have extensive experience teaching language to ESL students and have provided private Spanish tutoring locally, helping many achieve their language goals.

In my Spanish classes, you'll experience an engaging and comprehensive approach to mastering the language. We'll start with the basics, ensuring you grasp essential grammar rules and build a solid foundation. You'll learn fun and useful vocabulary, practice speaking with me, and engage in interactive exercises. To make learning enjoyable and practical, we'll translate popular songs and videos together, bringing the language to life.
in addition I will assign different interactive challenges every week, some harder than others. One week I may challenge you to watch a Spanish movie, another to listen to music while reading the lyrics, or maybe even start a Spanish show with subtitles if you’re feeling bold to enhance your understanding. This variety ensures that you'll not only learn but also enjoy the process, making it easier to retain and apply your new skills in real-life situations.
