About Betsy
I am an enthusiastic guitar tutor with 25 years of experience teaching high school, college, and adult learners. I have had the privilege of teaching 150–200 students, each with unique goals and dreams. My teaching focuses on making lessons fun, practical, and inspiring, ensuring that students learn at their own pace while staying motivated. One of my most rewarding experiences is preparing students for live performances and seeing their confidence blossom as they achieve goals they never thought possible.
I believe learning guitar is a journey of creativity, patience, and self-expression. My aim is to inspire students to enjoy music, build their skills, and carry the joy of guitar with them for life.

My teaching approach for Guitar is practical and based on everyday examples. I believe guitar learning should feel useful and enjoyable. Lessons are designed around real songs and common playing situations so students can apply what they learn immediately.
Case studies are used to explain how guitarists solve common problems. Problem-solving techniques help students improve chord changes, strumming patterns, and timing. Each problem is handled patiently and clearly.
Motivation plays a key role in my teaching. I encourage students with positive feedback and small goals. Integrity is important to me, and I provide honest guidance at every stage. My flexible teaching style allows lessons to change based on learning speed and musical interests. In addition to Guitar, I also teach basic theory, rhythm practice, and simple music reading.
