About Amelia
Structure builds freedom. Feedback happens through a monthly recorded review of your playing progress. I balance theory with practical application to keep the music exciting for hobbyists and returning learners.
My background includes a BA from UCLA which helps me explain the mechanics of lead guitar and ear training clearly. Tuning, maintenance, and reading tabs become second nature. Sometimes the smallest adjustment to your hand position changes everything. I keep things moving forward in a way that feels natural.

Playing flamenco and Latin guitar for 20 years defined my musical identity. I am a patient observer. My BA in Latin American Music Studies from UCLA informs how I teach scales, modes, and music theory. I understand the frustration of self-taught players and provide the missing structure needed for real progress.
These 15 years of experience allow me to break down complex improvisation into manageable steps for any level. I am always happy to share my love for the instrument with others.
