I believe that language is not just a tool for communication, but a bridge to understanding culture and the world around us. My passion for languages is rooted in the connection between language and culture, and I aim to pass that excitement on to my students. Learning a new language doesn’t have to be daunting or nerve-wracking—it should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Through my lessons, I strive to make learning fun, inspiring confidence in my students and helping them see the beauty of the language they’re learning. I have had the experience of learning and teaching languages at various levels and in diverse locations, which has given me a unique perspective on what methods work best for different learners. With years of experience and a strong academic background, I am committed to helping you succeed and feel confident as you embark on your language learning adventure. I’m excited to guide you through this journey, where every step forward brings you closer to achieving your goals.

About the lesson

As a passionate tutor, I focus on repetition and reinforcement to solidify understanding and ensure lasting retention of material. I also incorporate writing under supervision, where any errors or uncertainties are discussed and tested again to ensure full comprehension. This method allows students to learn from their mistakes while reinforcing the correct approach. Additionally, I offer conversation practice and engaging games, which make lessons enjoyable while reinforcing key vocabulary and grammatical elements. I hold a Master's Degree in Translation Studies from the University of Auckland, where I specialized in translating French and Spanish. With 7 years of study behind me, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world experience to my tutoring. I have worked with students preparing for IB exams, helping them to achieve top marks in Spanish, and I also teach up to DELE Level B2. My lessons are ideal for students of all levels - whether you’re aiming for top marks in your qualifications or simply want to get the most out of an overseas trip, I tailor my teaching approach to help each student achieve their personal goals.
