About Dylan

I am a passionate flute tutor with 5 years of experience helping students of all ages and levels discover the joy of music. My teaching style combines creativity, critical thinking, and mentorship, allowing students to express themselves while building strong technical skills. I believe that learning music should be fun, meaningful, and inspiring. I guide my students through tone development, breath control, rhythm, phrasing, and musical interpretation.

Accountability is an important part of my approach, helping students set goals, stay consistent, and track their progress. I encourage curiosity, self-reflection, and problem-solving in every lesson. Creativity plays a big role, and I often include improvisation, small compositions, and musical storytelling to make lessons engaging. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and listening skills to strengthen overall musicianship.

I adapt my teaching methods to each student’s pace, level, and personal interests. Mistakes are treated as learning opportunities and a step toward improvement. I act as a mentor, offering guidance, motivation, and support to help students grow both musically and personally. My lessons aim to build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love for music. Along with flute, I can teach related subjects such as theory, rhythm, and performance preparation.

I enjoy creating a positive, encouraging, and inspiring learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring their abilities. My ultimate goal is to help students become expressive, confident, and passionate musicians who enjoy every step of their musical journey.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on helping students learn the flute in a creative and confident way. I believe that music is not only about playing notes but also about expressing emotions and telling stories through sound. As a teacher, I act as a mentor who guides students to think critically, explore new ideas, and find their own musical voice. Each lesson is designed to build both skill and understanding, encouraging students to question, reflect, and grow.

I use creative exercises to make learning fun and meaningful while ensuring that students develop good technique and strong fundamentals. Accountability is an important part of my teaching, so I set clear goals and help students stay motivated and consistent in their practice.
